A WESTON General Hospital employee could soon be crowned the country’s best nurse.

Debra Chatterton is one of three women shortlisted by the Nursing Standard journal for her exceptional work at the hospital and as a charity volunteer.

While not working shifts, she also teaches resuscitation skills and is an unpaid volunteer for the British Heart Foundation.

The award will be handed out at March 12 at London’s Victoria and Albert Museum.

If Debra wins the award she will receive a prize of £500.
