Weston photo challenge: Winner announced
PUBLISHED: 12:00 15 July 2017
Photographers capture local sport around Weston-super-Mare.
Roger Fry from Weston once again wins our weekly iwitness24 photo competition.
The theme last week was ‘sport’ and we were looking for any sporting pictures taken in and around Weston.
Roger’s great low-angle image of a falconer exercising his bird of prey with lure, is perfectly timed and sums up the sport brilliantly.
This year, the Mercury has teamed up with the organisers of the Weston Flower Show, which will be held on Saturday, August 12 at Grove Park from 10am to 5pm.
The Mercury is launching a floral photo competition and the winning images will be exhibited at the show.
We are looking for your top 4 photos of flowers taken around Weston.
The categories are:
● My Garden
● Floral Close-Up
● Favourite Bloom
● Public Floral Display
There will be a cup for the overall winner and a certificate for the winner of each category - the judge’s choice is final.
Please enter 4 pictures, maximum, together with a description highlighting the category you are entering (you will need to upload your entries one at a time to change the information for each picture). Thursday, August 3 is the last day for entries.
To enter, go to: www.iwitness24.co.uk and upload your images to the Weston ‘Photo Challenge’ group.
