An inaugural bingo and tabletop sale was organised by Weston Pride last weekend to raise money for its summer fiesta.

Weston Pride invited people to join in with a fun afternoon of bingo and to browse through a variety
of bric-a-brac at a jumble sale.

The money raised at the event will go towards the annual Weston Pride march and festival, which this year will run across two days in Grove Park. It will take place on July 28-29.

Pride organiser Nigel Briers said: “We want to return to some traditional community engagement.

“It is something we want to develop over the coming months and to give something back to Weston and North Somerset.

“We are going back-to-basics with the approach with monthly tabletop sale with the occasional bingo game as well.”

The next event will be held on March 10 at the United Reformed Church.
