PUPILS from a Weston school have been told their behaviour and attitudes are good.

In a letter sent to students from Ofsted inspectors, teachers at Broadoak Mathematics and Computing College were also praised for the support they give in helping the youngsters to develop.

After the recent Ofsted inspection, the resulting report also said the partnerships the school has established with parents have made a significant contribution in improving attendance.

The teaching standards at the school in Windwhistle Road are described as good and, at times, excellent, and the curriculum is also rated as good.

The overall effectiveness of the school is described as good, as are the achievements and standards at the school and the personal development and well-being of the pupils.

The care and guidance given to pupils and the leadership and management at the school were rated as outstanding.

Tips for improvement include ensuring lessons build on the existing skills of students and providing more opportunity for the students to take on more responsibility.
