Xander-Jaymes Le Petit, the Rock Choir leader in Weston and Burnham, stood alongside the choir’s founder Caroline Redman Lusher and her 80-strong vocal group for a spectacular performance at the event in London’s Hyde Park.

The singers wowed an audience of 40,000 people and the people watching on TV.

More than 100,000 Rock Choir members made the journey to London for the event to support the performers.

Xander-Jaymes said: “Performing in front of 40,000 people was a shock when I first walked out onto the stage but then it was time to be professional and sing.

“During You Raise Me Up with Josh Groban, the audience lit up their phones which was incredible as you just see those at the back were just as engaged as those at the front.”
