MINIATURE railway tracks, steam locomotives and Thomas the Tank Engine were part of this year’s model railway exhibition.

The popular event, which was held at The Campus in Highlands Lane, Weston, is in its fifth year and is organised to help raise money for Weston Hospicecare.

This year organisers opened their doors to 1,400 train enthusiasts of all ages and said the day was a ‘wonderful success.’

The exhibition’s raffle brought in a total of £528 and, while the cash is still being counted, it is estimated the event has raised around £3,000 for the hospice.
