Youngsters got the rare chance to meet a famous dog last week.

Winterstoke Decorators held an open day on September 17 and children took pictures with an old English sheepdog, made famous in the Dulux paint television adverts.

The decorating store is the largest independent paint specialist and stockist in Weston and recently celebrated more than 50 years of trading.

The shop opened its showroom to families and gave advice on designs for both modern and classic interiors.

A play area for children meant
they could pet the dog, take part in colour-based games and read library books, while parents enjoyed a hot drink.

A store spokesman said: “It was great to get so many people coming to see what we can offer.

“Our staff were more than happy to help with any queries and we hope to hold another open day soon.”
