A former drug addict will deliver talks in Weston this week about narcotics and the violent realities of gang life.
Paul Hannaford will visit schools across the area to educate youngsters about the horrors of drugs and the dangers of carrying knives.
He will be speaking at Bournville Primary School, in Selworthy Road, from 4.30-5.30pm on Monday and from 6-7pm at Broadoak College, in Windwhistle Road.
PC Nick Falconer from the Bournville and Oldmixon One Team, who are co-ordinating the talks, believes the sessions will be invaluable.
He said: “We really believe in the way in which Paul engages with young people to share his story and better inform them of the consequences of gangs and drugs.
“I would highly recommend people to come along and see this presentation for themselves.”
Entry is free but due to the graphic content of both presentations, they are not recommended for children under the age of 10.
