Weston-super-Mare Air Festival and Armed Forces Weekend are set to take place this Saturday and Sunday and the Mercury has provided a schedule of events to show visitors what’s happening in the skies and on the ground.

Thousands of spectators are expected to flock to Weston on June 23-24 to see aerobatic displays and to take part in Armed Forces celebrations.

The festival’s air shows are set to take place at the town’s seafront and Beach Lawns and will run from 1pm to 5pm each day.

The entertainment and events on the ground are on at various times on both days, starting at 10.45am on Saturday with the last event scheduled at 4.35pm.

On Sunday, the events on the ground will start at midday and the closing ceremony will begin at 4.10pm to round off the weekend.

The event is organised by Weston Town Council, North Somerset Council and the Weston Business Improvement District.
