Two bed and breakfasts in Weston-super-Mare will soon have no vacancies to holidaymakers, with a housing conversion planned.

Flora Glen Guest House and Beau Regard Bed and Breakfast, in Locking Road, are set to close and become houses in multiple occupation.

Mr S Johnson has applied to North Somerset Council for planning permission to change the use of the buildings to six-bedroom houses with multiple occupiers.

The applicant’s planning statement says: “The proposal is to change the use of the building from guest house to a house in multiple occupation.

“It is not intended to change the internal arrangement of the building, nor is it intended to extend the building.

“Any works carried out to the building will be within the existing building.

“The proposal will increase the affordable housing within Weston.”
