A care home which previously required improvement has made positive changes and is now rated as good.

Ashcombe Court in Milton Road has been praised by inspectors from the Care Quality Commission for ensuring its residents have detailed care plans, strong relationships with staff and are able to make decisions about their own care.

The care home can care for up to seven people and its most-recent inspection report says: “People were happy with the care and felt supported by kind staff who promoted people’s independence.”

The home is now rated as good in all areas, meaning it is caring, safe, effective, well-led and responsive.
