Weston-super-Mare lifeboat crews rush to reports of person in water

Weston-super-Mare’s RNLI was called to reports of someone entering the water off the seafront this morning (Monday).

Both lifeboats were launched at about 6.19am after CCTV cameras spotted someone possibly entering the bay at Knightstone Harbour..

The crews carried out an extensive search of Weston Bay, but found no trace of a person entering the water.

Weston Coastguard also attended the incident.
