A Weston-super-Mare man will appear in Bristol Crown Court accused of burglary and attempted burglary.

Steven John Careslade, aged 34, appeared at Bristol Magistrates Court on Saturday charged with six offences which all took place in the early hours of January 4.

The charges included a burglary at Wansbrough Road where jewellery was stolen, two attempted burglaries in Walford Avenue and Gimblett Road and three counts of vehicle interference in Gimblett Road.

He will next appear at Bristol Crown Court on February 16.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary has reminded people to keep their neighbourhood safe by reporting suspicious incidents.

The police encourage people to take extra care when leaving their houses and cars by locking and setting alarms as well as installing security lights.
