The walkway by Weston-super-Mare’s Marine Lake has been closed this week due to a slippery surface – but it will re-open today (Wednesday).
The path, which links Knightstone Island to Anchor Head was closed by North Somerset Council on Monday because of a build-up of algae.
A council spokesman said: “It was getting very slippery and we were concerned about people crossing it.
“It was closed on Monday and we have got contractors out as soon as possible to clean it.
“It should be cleaned by the end of today.”
