A Royal British Legion centre in Weston which offers breaks for ex-servicemen and their families received a lorry load of care hampers this week.

Somerset Legion House Break Centre, in Beach Road, received the P&G health and beauty products from Sainsbury’s.

The care hampers include toothbrushes, moisturiser, razors and shampoo to help people feel at home during their stay.

The items have been placed in the centre’s rooms to be used by the families who visit.

Gareth Bennett, breaks and recovery data manager at the Royal British Legion, said: “The families who come to us get to spend some well-deserved family time together – so it’s great they get to take home a hamper of goodies as well.”

The donation was made as part of Sainsbury’s ‘help us, help them’ campaign, which is supporting the Royal British Legion.
