Could you be Weston RNLI’s next deputy press officer?

Weston-super-Mare RNLI is recruiting a volunteer deputy press officer.
The role will involve building relationships with media organisations in Weston, and promoting lifeboat station events and rescues.
It will involve volunteering for one to five hours a week, depending on how busy the RNLI is.
An RNLI spokesman said: “You’ll be involved in keeping the community informed of operational activity, promote newsworthy rescues and lifeboat station events, using a variety of channels, such as email, phone, or social media, using photos and video where possible.”
People who are considering the role should have a good command of English, and should be able to write well under pressure.
The volunteer will support press officer Glyn Hayes, and will deputise for him when he is away.
Anyone interested can contact Glyn to discuss it on firstname.lastname@example.org or call 07774 181418.
