Weston RNLI is recruiting for people to volunteer on its shore crew.
The lifeboat charity, based by Marine Lake, is led entirely by volunteers.
The shore crew role involves helping to launch the lifeboats and looking after the station and equipment.
Any volunteers will need to be willing to give their time at weekends and possibly during unsociable hours.
People need to be team players, good at communicating, generally fit and able to learn new skills.
The RNLI says the benefits involve joining a motivated and enthusiastic team, and meeting new people.
Weston RNLI’s work in 2017 involved saving a father and daughter cut off by the tides near Birnbeck Pier, and helping kayakers who got into trouble near Brean Down.
The crew also helped when people got stuck in the mud.
