Weston-super-Mare Football Club's Dayle Grubb, has been awarded the National League South player of the month award for April.
The midfielder has notched 20 goals in all competitions this season, finding the back of the net an impressive seven times just last month, including a fine individual performance against Bishop’s Stortford.
The Seagulls beat the Blues 5-0, with Grubb responsible for four of Weston’s goals.
This is the first time a Weston player has won this award since 2015, when Jamie Lucas scooped the award for February.
Grubb is already looking forward to next season, having signed a new contract back in December, which will keep him at The Woodspring Stadium until the end of the 2018/2019 season.
He said: “I’m really proud to get this award. Its been a good few months for me under our new gaffer and of course great for the and all my player colleagues. I look forward to the coming season with hopes of a play-off finish.”
Seagulls head coach Scott Bartlett added: “Dayle has been an outstanding performer for us all season and fully deserves to be recognised by The National League.
“To those who have seen us regularly, his form in April will come as no surprise.
“However, to score that amount of goals from left midfield in some high pressured games is an outstanding achievement and something he should be very proud of.”
