A Weston-super-Mare woman who is fighting cancer will brave the shave for charity at the annual dairy festival this weekend.
Jackie Williams Kelleher, aged 63, will have her head shaved to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Jackie, who runs Kewstoke Youth and Community Farm, was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year.
She said: “Since being diagnosed it has had one hell of an impact on my life. But I wanted to turn something bad around and make it into something good.
“Macmillan has said they will look after me and support me even once my treatment is finished.
“They are committed to me for the rest of my life and that deserves some recognition.”
Jackie will be joined by five other people and is encouraging more people to join in.
The shave will take place at the festival, on the Beach Lawns, at 2pm on Saturday. If you want to take part, visit www.bravetheshave.macmillan.org.uk to register.
