A Weston duo braved the shave and had all of their hair cut off to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Work friends Wendy Oliver, aged 58, and Elaine Whittaker, aged 54, paid a visit to The Hair Salon, in Worle, to get their heads shaved.
They have so far raised £645 and £430 respectively
Wendy is undergoing cancer treatment and Elaine wanted to support her close friend.
Elaine said: “I didn’t want her to be alone when she had to have her head shaved, there is nothing worse than feeling like you are the odd one out.”
Wendy said: “I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in February – completely out of the blue.
“I am still going through treatment but there is light at the end of the tunnel and I am so thankful MacMillan have helped me during this time.”
