Weston Town Council to build new play park
PUBLISHED: 15:00 06 May 2018
Weston Town Council is planning to build a new play park.
The council is accepting expressions of interest from qualified companies to build a park in Canberra Road.
It has a budget of £90,000, which includes the cost of paying for the initial designs.
The council maintains a number of play parks in Weston already, including ones in Ashcombe Park, Clarence Park and Worle Recreation Ground.
The company it chooses to complete Canberra Road’s park will need to prove it has worked on similar projects, and be able to design a park and ensure it is safe.
It must also have an excellent health and safety record.
The council is accepting expressions of interest until noon on May 18.
They must be sent to Sarah Pearse, deputy town clerk, at the town council’s base at Grove House, in Grove Park.
