A Weston-super-Mare woman has celebrated her 100th birthday.
Dorothy Langdon, who lives at Nashley House Retirement Home in Montpelier, had a party on October 30 to mark her special day.
She was born in Wick St Lawrence and has lived in Weston most of her life.
Weston’s mayor Michael Lyall was on hand to congratulate Dorothy, while retirement home staff baked a birthday cake.
As well as receiving a card from the Queen, Dorothy spent the afternoon surrounded by her family and friends.
Dorothy’s daughter Marion Woore said: “It was a wonderful day of celebrations and I cannot thank the staff at Nashley House enough for their hard work.
“Mum has lived in the area all her life and has been lucky enough to enjoy long-lasting and close friendships.
“We enjoyed a glass of fizz and shared tales about my mum’s life.”
