Weston women urged to Race for Life

PUBLISHED: 19:00 17 January 2013

WESTON women are being urged to sign up for Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life, which opened this week.

The 5k run will take place on Weston’s beach on June 2 and organisers are hoping 1,500 women and girls will take part to raise their target of £85,000.

The run helps to fund doctors’ and scientists’ research into the disease and gives runners a chance to celebrate the lives of loved ones.

Participants are also encouraged to dress up in pink or fancy dress.

To sign up for the challenge visit www.raceforlife.org or call 0845 6006050.
