CLASSIC car and bike owners looking to raise £100,000 for soldiers’ charities drove onto the Beach Lawns on Sunday.

Luxury cars from the likes of Lotus, Aston Martin, Jaguar and TVR driven by servicemen and ex-servicemen lined up on the lawns to raise money for The Royal British Legion and Help for Heroes.

They raised £2,900 for the two charities, money which will be added to the fundraising totals before further events across Europe. The Rally For Heroes group will travel through some of the continent’s most famous driving roads in Monaco and Italy as well as Germany’s famous Nürburgring.
