Concerts, fairs and exhibitions to celebrate Somerset Day

A celebration of music, fine food and drink will take place at numerous venues across the county to celebrate Somerset Day next week.

A host of events will run from May 11-13 with exhibitions, concerts and fairs showcasing art, food, music and drink.

The Railway Inn in Sandford is holding a cider and cheese tasting event with entertainment from the Mendip Morrismen on May 12 from 6-7pm while Brean Leisure Park will host a local producers’ fair on May 13.

A Celebrating Somerset Talent concert will be held in aid of three Somerset hospices – including Weston Hospicecare – on May 12 in Wells.

The event will take place at Cedars Hall, in Wells Cathedral School, at 6.30pm with performances from The Drystones and Yeovilton Military Wives Choir, plus young musicians and celebrity guests from around the county.
