Cheddar Gorge is getting some excellent new additions this Easter and the Mercury is offering you and your family the chance to experience it first hand.
The Easter Bunny has made an unexpected visit to Cheddar Gorge and Caves this season and has left clusters of magical, glow-in-the-dark eggs around its biggest attraction, Gough’s Cave.
Longleat, which owns and operates the gorge, is inviting avid explorers to search the cave to crack the mystery code left behind by the mischievous bunny.
Those who are successful will earn themselves a sweet treat at the end of their journey.
If that was not enough, there is also the case of Richard Gough’s magical golden egg which is rumoured to have been hidden in the caves since its excavation in the Victorian era.
Younger visitors will also have the chance to get creative in the Museum Of Prehistory where they can make their own Easter decoration to take home.
The Mercury has teamed up with Cheddar Gorge and Caves to offer you and your family the chance to win a trip to the attraction for free in our Easter competition.
Three lucky readers will be presented with a family explorer pass which will allow two adults and two children to enjoy a day-long trip to one of Britain’s most spectacular natural landmarks.
The prize is worth a total of £209.40 and can be used throughout the Glow In The Dark Egg Hunt event which runs every day from Saturday to April 8 within normal opening hours, 10am-5pm and afterwards.
This competition will close at 10am on Wednesday and winners will be contacted by close of play on March 29.
Usual Archant competition rules apply and the editor’s decision is final.
