THE gripping psychological thriller Strangers On A Train will be performed at The Playhouse in Weston next month.Actors from the acclaimed Bruce James Productions Company will be returning to star in the show from April 16-19.The cast includes Hanna Waterman who is best known for her portrayal of Laura Beale in EastEnders, a role she played for four years.Based upon the intriguing novel by the writer of The Talented Mr Ripley, Patricia Highsmith's powerful and compelling psychological thriller Strangers On A Train was famously adapted into a film by Alfred Hitchcock.As the name suggests, the story follows two young men who meet by chance on a train. Guy Haines is an ambitious architect, while Charlie Bruno is a mother-fixated playboy with a taste for danger. They find they both have problems caused by people they would like to get rid of, and the two travellers speculate on what it would be like to commit the perfect murder.Performances start at 7.30pm with a matinee at 2.30pm on April 19.
