CLASSICAL ballet will take centre stage in Weston when the highly acclaimed Vienna Festival Ballet Company performs Swan Lake.The story centres on Prince Siegfried, who, while out hunting, meets with a flock of swans led by a queen under the spell of evil magician, Baron Rothbart. The prince falls in love with the Queen of the Swans and tries to free them all from the clutches of the Baron. However, the magician has a few tricks up his sleeve. Founded by experienced Austrian dancer and artistic director, Peter Mallek, Vienna Festival Ballet uses professional dancers from all corners of the globe who aim to give vitality, energy and freshness to every performance.Swan Lake will be staged at The Playhouse on April 19.
