BEATLEMANIA looks set to return to Weston.The world's most famous rock and roll club, Liverpool's The Cavern, celebrates its 50th birthday this year, and fans can re-live the magical music of the Fab Four when tribute act The Cavern Beatles attempt to recreate the looks and sounds of John, Paul, George and Ringo. Having copied the looks, mannerisms and sound of the original Fab Four, The Cavern Beatles have played extensively all over the UK, and are the only Beatles tribute band to receive a review and photograph in the international magazine, Beatles Book. The band, which has also won praise from Paul McCartney, consists of Eddie McClaine as John, Derek Stratton as Paul, Rick Alan as George and Roy Hitchen as Ringo. All four were born and brought up in Liverpool. The band credentials include TV and radio appearances such as The James Whale Radio Show, The Late Late Show, Granada Up Front, Pebble Mill and Points Of View. The musicians have also featured on documentaries including Celebration: Beatle City, In the Footsteps of the Beatles and Summer in the City.The band has also supported artistes such as Tom Jones, Johnny Mathis, Mary Wilson And The Supremes, Smokey Robinson, Gerry And The Pacemakers and The Lightning Seeds. The performance will include Beatles classics I Saw Her Standing There, She Loves You, I Want To Hold Your Hand, A Hard Day's Night, Twist And Shout, Paperback Writer and Help.The Cavern Beatles will take to the stage at The Playhouse on April 27.
