TALENTED youngsters from Moscow Ballet La Classique will be performing one of the best loved classical ballets, Swan Lake, at The Playhouse in Weston next month.The company, whose 2007 performances at the theatre included Don Quixote and Sleeping Beauty, was founded in 1990, utilising ballet dancers from the leading theatres in Bolshoi, Kirov, Kiev and Odessa.It returns on March 2 with a story that centres around Prince Siegfried who, whilst out hunting, meets with a flock of swans led by a Queen Swan who is under the evil spell of a magician, Baron Rothbart.He falls in love with the Queen of the Swans and attempts to free them all. However, the magician has a few tricks up his sleeve to stop him.This production offers imaginative costumes and beautiful sets which project colour and vitality to enhance the workings of the dancers, choreographers and the composer.The performance starts at 7.30pm.
