JACK Black and Mos Def star in the unique comedy, Be Kind Rewind (12A).Black, best-known for his role in School of Rock, stars as a loveable loser stuck in a life that is too small for his big dreams. But his life takes a dramatic turn when he inadvertently causes his brain to become magnetized, leading to the unintentional destruction of all the tapes in his friend's (Def) video store. In order to keep the store's one loyal customer, an elderly lady with a tenuous grasp on reality, the pair recreate a long line of films including The Lion King, Rush Hour, Ghostbusters, When We Were Kings, Back To The Future, Driving Miss Daisy and Robocop. By including themselves and neighbours in the filming they soon become the biggest stars in their neighbourhood. But when word gets out that they have remade such Hollywood classics without permission, the store is threatened with copyright violations and is forced to close its doors.* BASED on the acclaimed novel by Cormac McCarthy, No Country For Old Men (15) is also released at the Odeon this week.The story begins when Llewelyn Moss (Josh Brolin) finds a pickup truck surrounded by a sentry of dead men.A stash of heroin and two million dollars in cash are still in the back.
