AN ACTION group set up to oppose a controversial wind farm has been asked to take down some of its protest signs.Brent Knoll Parish Council asked kNOll To Wind Farm to remove some of the boards it put up protesting against proposals to build a wind farm between Brent Knoll and Burnham.Parish council chairman, Jean Owen, said: "Some parishioners thought they were rubbishing the village."The group put up nearly 50 signs across the village earlier this month. Ones put up in residents' gardens have been left in place but over the past week have been vandalised.A kNOll To Wind Farm spokesman said: "The group removed a small number of signs last week after being advised by the parish council that they may have contravened highway policy."A significant number were pulled down or broken over the Easter weekend."Clearly somebody wishes to deny our supporters their democratic right or doesn't wish their message to be heard and has chosen to vandalise a number of these boards.
