YOUNGSTERS at a Nailsea preschool have been given a surprise windfall to pay for a play area.
Coach operator, Bakers Dolphin, donated £1,000 to Nailsea Preschool to boost their appeal to raise £5,000 to transform a piece of land into a play area with plants and flowers around it.
The preschool which meets at Holy Trinity Church hall, Church Lane, had raised £500 towards the project, but with the extra cash staff are hoping to be able to finish the outdoor area in time for the summer.
Project organiser, Carol Dean, said: "We were stunned and delighted at their generosity.
"This gives us new hope that we will be able to start the work in time for summer. "Without their help fund-raising would have been painfully slow and we risked missing our target.
