A Dutch sculptor has been crowned the winner of this year's Weston-super-Mare Sand Sculpture Festival's competition zone.
Edith van de Wetering was this week chosen as the winner for her piece Your Place Or Mine.
The sculpture is made up of two frogs housing cities in their mouths and a bridge connecting the two.
The competition zone saw 11 pieces of art go head-to-head in the public vote.
The sculptors were given just four days to create their masterpieces before the festival opened on April 14.
This year it followed the theme topsy-turvy which received more than half the public vote.
Artists were able to push the limits and interpret the theme how they liked.
People were invited to place an orange token in a box by the piece they liked the most, with Your Place Or Mine dubbed the most appealing and interesting.
The festival is now closed for this year and will return on March 30 in 2018.
