WINSCOMBE and Sandford Parish Council is set to freeze its precept for the fourth year in a row.

The precept, which stands at £105,000, was unanimously agreed to be frozen for the financial year 2011/2012 by parish councillors at their full meeting on January 20.

Councillor Chris Sampson said at the meeting: “I think we were very mindful of the financial settlement agreed by the Government, so we did out best and we’ve managed to keep the precept at exactly the same rate as last year.”
