Plans to build six homes in a village are on hold.
North Somerset Council’s planning and regulatory committee decided to defer Phase Two Build Ltd’s plans to build houses in The Chestnuts in Winscombe until after a site visit.
In 2016, 24 homes were built to the west of the site. The new proposals include six four-bed detached two-storey houses, off-road parking for 18 cars and access.
Planning officers recommended the scheme was approved.
Ward councillor Ann Harley said on October 10: “A site visit is needed because it is important councillors see how this development will affect homeowners in the village.”
Cllr Tom Leimdorfer added: “The impact this will have on the neighbours must be considered, it is vital we see the area.”
The visit will take place before the committee’s meeting on November 14.
