Wintry fun for Woodland members

MEMBERS of Weston’s Woodland Lawn Tennis Club were undeterred by the heavy snowfall and had a creative last Saturday morning session of the year.
Armed with shovels instead of their tennis rackets, they got stuck into the snow and built a ‘Rafa Snowdal’ snowman, as well as hunting for tennis balls which had been lost beneath the snow.
Annie Buckingham, one of the junior team at the club, said, “It was a fun way to end a great year at Woodland. We are lucky enough to have a strong core of junior players who love their tennis and who will turn up in wind, rain and even snow.”
