Young wizards, witches and muggles will join together at themed Harry Potter events across North Somerset.

The For All Healthy Living Centre on Weston-super-Mare’s Bournville Estate and Yatton Library will host the events on February 2 as part of the national Harry Potter book night, which aims to inspire young readers.

Children aged four to 11 can dress up to enjoy crafts and other wizard-themed activities at the events. The Weston session will run from 3-4.30pm and the event in Yatton will be held from 3.30-4.30pm.

Community librarian Sophia Richards said: “Here in North Somerset we have always been fans of the Harry Potter books because they are such a good read and enjoyed by so many children.

“We are very excited to be celebrating Harry Potter book night with some special children’s events.”
