Woman dies in hospital following collision along A370 near Weston-super-Mare

A woman has died in a road traffic collision near Weston-super-Mare, prompting police to appeal for witnesses.
The incident happened along the A370 Bridgwater Road in Bleadon on September 16.
The collision occurred at 2.35pm, near the Bridge Road junction by the petrol station.
An Avon and Somerset Constabulary spokesman said: “The Fiesta was being driven southbound along the A370 towards the junction of Bridge Road in Bleadon.
“A lorry was negotiating the junction with its trailer protruding from the junction.
“The Fiesta was in collision with a third vehicle – a car – which was turning right around the rear end of the trailer.”
The Fiesta’s driver was seriously injured and was taken to Southmead Hospital. But she died on Tuesday morning.
The police spokesman said: “Collision investigators are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident who may have information to help their enquires.”
