A WOMAN from Worle has attempted to buck the recession - by opening a new pet store.
Sally Ellis, owner of Mutts, Moggies, Mice and More in Worle High Street, opened the pet food shop on January 2.
The 36-year-old, of Greenwood Road, Worle, put £20,000 of her own money into the shop after her former employers went into administration.
She said: “It took six months to set up and was a real challenge financially.”
The business could soon expand to include live animals.
She said she hoped her ‘personal, specialised and helpful’ service would prove popular with customers and offer advantages over national chains.
