Woman hit by train rushed to hospital

A WOMAN has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a train in Worle this evening (Sun).

The woman, thought to be in her 40s, was treated by paramedics on the rail line by Worle Railway Station at about 7.15pm.

She suffered several trauma injuries, including to her head, but was conscious and breathing when Great Western Ambulance Service’s critical care team and a hazardous area response team arrived at the scene.

She was taken to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol by ambulance accompanied by a critical care doctor.
