A WOMAN was punched in the face and indecently assaulted in broad daylight by a man while walking through a park in Weston.

The 40-year-old lady was approached by the male in Ashcombe Park while on her way home to Milton Brow between 12noon-12.15pm on November 9.

As she passed the toilet block at the top end of the park, the man, thought to be aged about 50, approached and grabbed her.

He then indecently assaulted her before punching her in the face.

She responded by hitting him, and he let go of her before walking away, saying nothing.

Police are appealing for the public’s help tracking down the man, who is described as a white man of stocky build.

He had a round face, brown eyes and grey spiky hair.

He was unshaven and was wearing a dark coloured hooded top with a ripped front pocket and black combat-style trousers.

Anyone who can help police should call Weston police station on 0845 4567000.
