A Great Western Railway employee will take part in a London-to-Brighton 100-mile bike ride in memory of her uncle.

Emma Stephens, aged 36, will be supporting Macmillan Cancer Support during the ride on June 18, in memory of her uncle Stephen who died last year.

Emma and her colleagues held a cake sale and raffle at Weston Railway Station to raise money the ride.

She said: “I need to raise at least £600 before the event and we have raised almost £200 today which has been matched by the First Group.”

The group also put up the two main raffle prizes, a set of first class tickets.
