Ready Steady Go nursery, in Mendip Avenue, organised the exhibition after it was donated the canvases by Weston business SCS Project Services.

The children painted the canvases, and they were displayed for parents to view.

They featured a caterpillar, the night sky, the sea, and animals.

Parents voted and decided the canvas decorated with a caterpillar was the best.

The class which designed it will be given money for extra resources.

Early years co-ordinator Helen Dunton said: “We have four classrooms – babies, toddlers, and two preschool classes.

“All of them painted their own canvas, and the day went really well.

“We are going to re-use the canvases, because you can paint over them, and use them for Christmas displays.”
