Weston Town Council has installed a basket swing, spinning disc and toddler and junior swing at Lynch Farm in North Worle.

Malcolm Nicholson, the town clerk, said: “Outdoor play is essential for children’s social and personal wellbeing and the town council is delighted to offer this much improved facility for residents in North Worle.”

The park was designed and installed by Sutcliffe Play and replaces the set of swings which was at the site.

It caters for children aged up to 12 years old, and also includes a multi-play unit with a slide, monkey bars and climbing frame.

It cost the town council £22,800 and the park can be accessed from Kewstoke Road or Castle Road.

The Lynch Farm play area is part of the town council’s investment in its play areas.

It is planning to install a play park in Weston’s Canberra Road later in the year.
