The war memorial in Worle has been refurbished in time for the commemoration of World War One in November.
There were problems with the roof, which had broken tiles, and stonework of the memorial in High Street.
Weston Town Council and North Somerset Council worked together to refurbish it and return it to its former glory.
Peter Johnson, a member of the museum and heritage sub-committee on the town council, said: “It is good to know Worle’s memorial is in good shape for the coming centenary commemorations and for many years to come.”
The corroded iron gates have also been repaired, and given a new lock.
Town clerk Malcolm Nicholson said: “We are pleased to have been able to restore the Worle war memorial in time for the centenary anniversary of World War One
“Thank you to all who contributed to the completion of the work, and to North Somerset Council and Weston Town Council for funding the restoration.”
