RESIDENTS gathered round a war hero statue to lay wreaths and flowers to mark Holocaust Memorial Day on Sunday.
The ceremony was held at the Frank Foley statue in Market Street in Highbridge.
Reverend Robin Lodge said prayers and held a two-minute silence before members of the Royal British Legion and town Mayor Pauline Pollard laid wreaths at the foot of the statue.
The statue was unveiled in May 2005 in honour of Frank Foley, who used to live in the town, and helped save Jewish people from Nazi Germany.
