‘One of the best ever’ Wrington shows was enjoyed by hundreds of villagers on Saturday afternoon.
Delicious looking cakes and beautiful floral arrangements filled the memorial hall in Silver Street.
And with the village bathed in sunshine, the lawns were full of people enjoying a drink and a slice of cake as well as the show itself.
Show secretary Jim Swords said the show had gone ‘fantastically’ well.
He said: “We had a record number of entries – fruit was especially popular.
“A huge amount of people came out for the show and enjoyed tea and cakes on the lawns as it was a beautiful day.
“It was one of the best shows ever.”
Mr Swords has organised the show for the past 11 years but is now stepping down.
He said: “It’s nice to go out with a bang.
“I hope some younger blood comes in (to take over).”
