A REAL-LIFE X Factor boot camp finalist was among the judges of a talent show staged at a Portishead school.

Pupils in years three to six at St Peter's Primary School took part in their annual X-Factor style competition, entering class heats ending in a finale of 12 acts.

The final was enjoyed by the whole school and was performed before a panel of judges, one of which was Sian Paley, the female vocalist sent home from the TV programme after twins, John and Edward, sang over her lines on the show.

The other judges were artist Paul Muncaster, children's author Maureen Nicholls and team rector Rev Andy Bryant.

The winners of the show were year six students calling themselves JLS Minis, who performed their version of Beat Again.
