Nature campaigners in North Somerset have announced they are launching a new bat monitoring project – and their campaign will be kicked off with a talk from an award-winning conservationist.

The Yatton and Congresbury Wildlife Action Group (YACWAG) is launching the scheme thanks to a grant from Bristol Airport.

Bat expert Daniel Hargreaves will join YACWAG for a talk about his work and the project on February 24.

It will take place at the Friends Meeting House in Meeting House Lane, Claverham, at 7.30pm. Entry is free.
